A while back I needed to send some money abroad, so I was about to sign up for Wise. I remembered referral bonuses exist for stuff like that, so I posted on my Instagram story asking if anyone had a link.

"I'm about to use Wise. Anyone here with a referral link? Send it to me and I'll use it to sign up. Win-win."

A bunch of friends replied. That's where the idea came from.

I like referral codes because they're a small way to help each other out - no downside for either person. So I started wondering: how handy would it be if you could just see your friends' referral codes whenever you needed one? And discount codes too, shared the same way. Only with friends, never with random strangers.

Win Win lives under phoebecantcode.com, which is basically a confession: I really don't know how to code. I used to work in ecommerce, at a Shopify agency, and I'd occasionally tweak small things in the code. Themes usually come with a lot already built in, so small tweaks were doable for me, but actual developers were the ones building new things and fixing bugs.

I built this entire site with Claude Code, mostly to test what's actually possible. This is the first website I've ever made.

I don't know yet how far this can go. Figuring it out as I go.
